<aside> 💡 The Task readiness statuses are part of the task tiles in Planboard module. They inform the Foremans and Supervisors on the current statuses of Engineering, Design Changes, Material and Predecessors for that task. Depending on how the task is configured you might get all 4 statuses or only some of them.

The Basics

Task readiness statuses

With Task readiness statuses the Foremen and Supervisors can have much faster way of checking if something might block the task from completion and plan their work accordingly. The statuses can be configured to your business rules and warehouse and ERP system. In principle we define 4 categories for which a user can review the status:

[1] Engineering,

[2] Design Changes,

[3] Materials

[4] Predecessors.

Each of the Task Readiness Marker shows a status informing the user if they are:

[1] Planned

[2] In time

[3] In progress

[4] Warning of predicted delay

[5] Danger / Delay

Each Task Readiness marker opens a pop-up with more detailed information when clicked.

Design Changes Status

When Floor2Plan is fed with engineering model data, the foreman can get an early indication of any design change in the pipeline. Otherwise, drawings could not appear on time.

Engineering Status

Floor2Plan can be fed with engineering model data including drawings and their status. Thus, the foreman will be informed when the drawings are ready.

Materials Status

Floor2Plan can be fed with inventory data. The foreman can then track the status and availability of the materials needed to build the component.

Predecessor status

Floor2Plan checks the plan data and tells the foreman if previous tasks are ready, so work can start.

Walkthrough

Check task readiness of the tasks

Task readiness needs feedback from external—IT systems to give meaningful insights.

[1] Click on the Predecessors with Danger status

[2] Check which task is delayed in particular. Here you might see more than one predecessor. The status that is displayed on the task is always taken from ‘the worst’ case, so in case of predecessors, if there is one task that is delayed and the rest are done, the marker will get the Danger status.

[3] Click on ✖️ button to close the pop-up.

Click on other tasks to see more details.
