The Basics

In Floor2Plan, products contain the master planning levels 1 and 2. Underneath the product, all the components in our project plan will reside.

Building up a project in Floor2Plan starts by defining the product hierarchy. The top-level is the product that is delivered, mostly a ship.

In the top section of the page, it is possible to edit some main details like the [1] product’s Description, [2] Remarks, [3] Type and [4] Parent.

In the Activates tab resides the Master planning for your project. You can add new and edit the existing activities that define milestones and some other critical events for your project. You can see more information about how to edit activities on the following page: Edit an Activity in your project.

Also, you can access different tabs that allow you to edit different product details:

1. General: From here you can check the product’s image and change it.
2. Files allow you to add any type of file to your product. These files will then be visible in Floorboard - Files panel
3. Structures allow you to check your block structures and relate new ones to the product.
4. Relations is an advanced feature and permits you to create relations between components in the project.
5. Property shows the list of the product’s properties.
6. Parent activity is an advanced feature, that allows you to manually create a project tree in case your project tree cannot be imported automatically.
7. Advanced allows you to edit the code and run the calculations and predictions.
